2005 Community Development Block Grant Project

In 2005 the Village received a grant provided by the Federal Government, managed by the State Government, for improvements for the downtown area.  This Community Development Block Grant provided Vermontville with $925,000.00.  The Village had to come up with $75,000.00 to do this $1,000,000.00 improvement.  The Village contracted C&D Hughes Construction out of Charlotte to do the majority of the work.  The project was completed in July, 2006.  Below are some pictures taken during the project.
